Every day abandoned pets
end up in shelters or in the possession of animal control. Some of these animals are
reclaimed by their owners before its too late while others face an uncertain future.
For those animals of uncertainty that wait patiently to be placed into foster
care, rescues or new forever homes they do so, in some case, with little more than the
cage that imprisions them. The reason for this is simple and is said time and time
again = "over population". There are too many animals in these placed to
pay for anything more than food - vetting and medication can not be afforded. Even
the basics that we ake for granted and without thought give to our own pets - toys,
collars and leashes for walks - can't be purchased. These animals are lonely and
depressed. They must wait in these conditions while their caretakers hope for the
best, but expect the wrost. Many of the animals will die, knowing only what their
life was like on the few days before they would be lead to their death. But even with all we can do, the cruel realoty of the situation is - these animals must still wait and sadly some won't make it out alive. To help ease the suffering of these animals please consider donating: New or gently used collars, leashes, food/water bowls, toys, treats, non-expired flea treatment i.e. Frontline for cats and dogs. Better Days will collect all donated items and ship care packages out to need shelters/rescues all over the United States. Your donations will mean so much to an animal that has so little.
